Where have I been?

Well, since my birthday my motivation has gone out the window. The Results!!!

So, today is my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! I know I said last week that I was going to wait until tomorrow to post, well I decided this morning that I'd go ahead a weigh in this morning...since today is my birthday. My goal was 125 & I weighed in at...
128.6
I'm proud of that number. I know there were days/weeks when I could have done better, more things I should have cut out of my diet and I could have worked out.
I feel good. I would love to say I feel great, but I don't. I feel saggy, loose & weak. That's because I haven't worked out more than maybe 3 times and haven't gone walking since like week 4. So with that being said, my next goal is to work out at least 3 days a week and go walking at least twice a week. My sister in law has started a new blog that is very motivating and I'm reading her posts and trying to make myself follow her instructions. I know what she says is true and she looks great! Now I need to figure out a date for me to reach this next goal of mine. For now I'm going to go enjoy my birthday & I'll post again soon.

Week 15

I have decided to keep you all wondering if I'm going to make it to my goal next week. So I won't be sharing my weight today. No matter what it shows next week...I'm so glad that I set this goal and set a date to have it done by. I think that has helped push me along my way. Week 14

Half of this past week we were still on vacation, which means I had ZERO self control. I was still a little nervous to step on the scale after eating better for only two days. I weighed in at 136.2. Not the best, but it's down from last week...so I guess it's progress. Hopefully by next week I'll be back down to 130 and then MAYBE I can kick my butt for a week and get to 125. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to say that I did it and reach my goal. I think I've done pretty good and I'm so proud of myself, but it's not over just yet. Bring on the next two weeks!!!

Week 13

We left for AZ the Wednesday before and I spent the last week eating whatever I wanted, in whatever portions I wanted. So I wasn't too shocked when the number 135 showed up on the scale.

Week 12

Playing catch up. Week 12 I weighed in at 130 pounds. I was so excited! That left me 5 pounds away from my goal, but I was nervous for the next few weeks to come.

Week 11

I was shocked to see a loss this week. We went camping over the weekend and I didn't watch what I ate at all. I ate way more than I should and I didn't feel guilty. I was preparing myself for a weight gain, but the scale said 132.2 this morning. I am back to watching my calories and eating better. I hope to do better these next two weeks, so I can be a little smaller for the wedding on the 9th. We went on a few hikes over the weekend, but that's the only working out I got in. I really hope to play the Kinect a few days this week and get a little running in. I really enjoyed running, when I used to do it, and don't know why it's been so hard for me to get back into doing it. So, that's that!

Week 10

So...I have to confess. I really wasn't trying to lose 5 pounds this last week. I was telling myself that so that I could do good camping. Which, I did. No S'mores for me. I was sick all last week and so I didn't do as good as I had hoped. It was still a loss from last week though, so I can't really complain. I weighed in at 133. 1 more pound gone. I have to say...I'm very comfortable with my weight right now. I think that's why I may be slowing down and not putting as much effort into losing weight right now. I would LOVE to see me reach my goal, just to say I did it, but it might be hard when I'm feeling so good and comfortable where I'm at right now. Here's to another great weekend camping...not going to feel bad if I give in for a S'more this time around.

Camping

Ok, so I woke up this morning and weighed myself...132.8. I was shocked to see that number. I did it again 3 times to make sure and it was the same. I'm on way to loosing that 5 pounds I had hoped for this week. But, we are going camping this weekend. I have good meals planned out for me and I'm hoping I can say no to the S'mores and treats that will be there. If so, along with some hikes and working out, maybe I actually can reach that goal. Week 9

Weighed in this morning at 134. I'm ok with that number. I think I could have done much better. I could have made a healthier choice while eating out at Winger's, I could have drank more water, I could have worked out more than 10 minutes this past week. For not eating the greatest and not really working out at all, I think that number is good. However, I know I can do better. I'm struggling with making myself get in a workouts and I really need to step up my game. I am still loosing at a steady weight and I think I've gotten too comfortable with that. I think I need to set a goal to loose 5 pounds this week...just to kick my butt into gear and get things moving a little faster. I have a little over 4 weeks until my sisters wedding and I'd really love to reach my goal by then, but ultimately my goal is 125 by september 27th. Once I reach my goal I REALLY want to just focus on maintaining my weight, but toning things up. So this weeks challenge for me is going to see if I can loose 5 pounds. I'll have to be sticked on what I eat and get some workouts in if I'm going to come close to that.

Week 8

So I woke up Friday morning at the scale said 136.2! That put me at loosing a little more than 20 pounds! So I decided to celebrate and have a cheat day Saturday. It was great, but it turned into more of a splurge weekend...oops! Then Monday we had a family emergency and I took in 4 of my nephews, giving me 7 kids! I have been eating what they eat and have had ZERO time to work out. I feel like I have gained 5 pounds. I was so nervous to get on the scale this morning, but to my surprise it said 136.4. So, I have gone down, since last weeks weigh in, but have gained a few ounces since Friday. Over all, I think, given my circumstances...I did pretty good! Hoping to get back in the swing of things soon, but I still have my nephews and will be helping out with them, so who knows how this next week will go. Goal is to maintain my weight and drink more water!

Week 7

This morning I weighed in at 137.8. I've almost reached my 20 pound mark...hoping that will come next week. If I want to reach that goal by next week I'm going to have to start working out. I really haven't worked out at all and most weeks I would only go walking 3 times. I'm starting to slow down and the weight loss and will need a boost if I'm going to reach 125 by the end of September. Once I reach 135 I know it's going to be even tougher...it's always easiest to get rid of the first 10 and hardest to get rid of those last 10 that want to stick around. So my goal this week is to WORK OUT and get to 136 or 135 by next week.

Week 6

So, I have been weighing myself every day or two at the most. I decided that this last week I would wait all week to see the loss. I don't think that was the best idea. In the past weeks if I saw I wasn't loosing I would kick my butt harder or eat a lot better. Not knowing was hard. I weighed in yesterday morning at 139 lbs. That's not bad, but it's not my best. I could have done better and think I'm going to keep weighing myself frequently. My discovery this week is Chick-Fil-A's Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich...YUM!

Week 5

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Weighed in this morning at 140.4. I never thought it would be so easy to say no to sweets. I was the type that would snack because I was bored and I would go searching for chocolate and then eat it ALL. I haven't really craved it...I think that's amazing cuz I never knew I could give that up so easily. And my new favorite drink is Crystal Light Energy! It has 10 calories, compared to diet soda that has none, but it's a much healthier choice in my opinion. It has caffeine in it too, which helps with my headaches. What is your favorite drink of choice?

Week 4

Not to happy to report this week. This weekend was a lot of fun and the food was Delicious...good for my soul delicious. But with that came sacrifice :( I weighed in at 144.8 this morning. I could have done better, but that just means that I'm going to have to work extra hard this coming week. I'm ready for the challenge and ready to get back on track!

Next Week

I can already tell that next weeks weigh in isn't going to be so good. I have family in town and we have lots of parties planned. There is going to be lots of food to tempt me and I'm already feeling like giving in. My goal this week to not gain any weight. Hopefully I'll still lose a little, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it this week. I'm going to enjoy my weekend with my family and if I have to kick my butt later for it, then so be it. Happy 4th of July everyone!

Week 3

First thing is this mornings weigh in...144 even. Not quite 2 pounds down from last weeks 145.8, but I'll take it. I'll admit that this weeks was hard. I slacked off with counting my calories. I just figured that if I ate around the same amount that I was the past couple weeks that I could just guess. Well, that doesn't work and I'm sure I went over most of the days. And I only went walking twice and worked out last night. I have really enjoyed walking now that Cambria has a bike and likes to ride that, because before I had no way to push/carry all three kids. So this makes it easier to go.
Now, on to some of the foods that I have recently fallen in love with. The first is made with Mayo with olive oil, either tuna or turkey on Orowheat Sandwich Thins. And a Pickle, they are super low in calories and I love them so sometimes I eat 2 or 3. Yum!
 The next is my absolute favorite! I could eat this every day! I use a Flat Out Wrap(found in the fresh deli/bread section) use 2T BBQ sauce, then add a little mozzarella cheese, cilantro and red onions. Bake at 400 for about 7 minutes. It's so yummy! You can also do Turkey Peperoni with pizza sauce.
 And these are my favorite morning snack...
I have tried the Kellogg's brand and actually prefer the Great Value brand. I do love the Special K Chocolaty Pretzel Bars for an afternoon snack. I also eat Light String Cheese, salads, Multi Grain Cheerios and eggs a lot. So far I have never been real hungry. I eat something at least every few hours. And I really enjoy all the foods I'm eating...specially the pizza!!!

Week 2

Weighed in this morning at 145.8. That makes my total for the week almost 3 pounds and a total from the start almost 11 pounds. My goal is 2 pounds a week. For Father's Day we ate out Friday and then went to the movies Saturday, where I ate way more popcorn then I should have. I had gained a few pounds back after that. I was able to get back into things the last couple days and loose it again, plus a little more. I have been HORRIBLE at working out. I really haven't worked out at all, and really only went walking a few times this past week. I have been staying very busy and playing outside with the kids more, which involves running, playing catch or riding scooters around with them...so that helps a little.

Week 1

This past week as been a little too easy for me. I started out at 156.6 last Wednesday and this morning I weighed in at 148.6. That's 8 pounds! And although it feels really good, I'm really nervous about the next few weeks to come, and mostly that last 10 pounds. The last 10 pounds I will probably have to work really hard to lose. I have been staying away from all sweets and chocolates, because I can't do just a little...it's all or nothing with that. I hope once I get down to the weight I'm comfortable with that I'll be able to eat fun stuff again and still be able to manage my weight. I never got around to taking photos last Wednesday like I had planned, but finally did it last night. These were taken right after pulling the neighbors weeds for two hours and I had popped a few zits on my face, nice huh? Well, here you have it.
I really need to work on my mid section. Lots of tummy workouts needs to start happening. I know just because I'm losing weight that doesn't mean my baby pooch is just going to go away. A few people have asked me for some food suggestions and recipes. I'm happy to share mine soon, but in the mean time check out Amy's Blog and she has some good ones there.

Slacker

So...I haven't been too busy, so that's not an excuse really. I kept waiting to post again to post my before pics, but guess what? I still haven't taken them. I think about it during the day when Phil's not here to take them for me. Then by the time he's home I forget to take them. I guess I could attempt to take them my self. I said I wasn't going to doing any specific diet, but right after that post I changed my mind and starting counting calories. I won't beat myself up if I go over or enjoy a nice little snack, but I still haven't done that. It's been super easy to stay with in my calories, but most of all....I don't really even crave sweets anymore. I have had a lot of chances to give in and eat some dessert, but never did. I almost did at a family party, but it was more out of habit(I saw Ryder with a cookie and asked Phil where they were at. He said, NO!) I then snapped out of it and said, I really don't even want one. I just asked so fast I didn't even have time to think about it. I have turned to Diet soda in the time of need. I have caffeine with drawl and get bad headaches, so it's great that I can get the caffeine fix, with out all the calories!  According to LiveStrong.com I should be taking in 1113 calories, but my sister in law, who I trust very much as informed me that if I'm going to be working out hard I should be taking in no less than 1500, or I'll start burning muscle, rather than fat. So, when I get around to working out hard, I'm going to up my calories. This is the part I struggle with most. I have ran/walked a few days, but only really worked out twice. I'm hoping that this next week I'll get a few more good work outs in. Tomorrow is weigh in day!

My Goal

My friend Amy has been working out and loosing weight since the beginning of this year and looking great! She's not done though. She has made it her goal to make it down to 125 pounds by the time she's 25. Well, it so happens that my 25th birthday is just two days before hers, so I've decided to join her. She has a blog where she's posting her weight, exercise plans and the food she eats...find it HERE. I thought it would be perfect to start one of my own, so I can be more conscious of my goal. My goal is the same as hers...make it down to 125 by my birthday September 27th. I plan to work out every day of the week...lifting weights or doing a work out video at least 4 days out of the week and running/walking at least 3 days a week & two of those days to be done as a family. I don't plan on sticking to any diet just yet. I'd like to start out by just making healthier eating choices, eating/SNACKING less, drinking lots of water & eating out less. I might have to set more limits if I'm not loosing the weight that I'd like to. I'd like to do my weigh in on Wednesdays. I figure it's a good time to do it, being right in the middle of the week. This morning I weighed in at 156.6. I'll post a starting picture later, when I can get someone else to take it for me. PLEASE, share my blog and tell your friends to follow.
